The company
Prodigy Finance is a specialist finance company founded by a group of graduates from the leading international business school, INSEAD. The company takes an innovative approach to student funding by setting up mechanisms by which a school’s alumni can, in effect, invest in the next generation students and, at the same time, earn an attractive rate of interest.
The challenge
In its early stages, with two business schools on board – INSEAD and Belgium’s Vlerick – the company was looking to quickly communicate the potential of the model to a much wider institutional audience both regionally and globally. BlueSky were brought on board to help.
The solution
BlueSky helped Prodigy develop and then distribute engaging and informative press releases about the existing finance model, subsequent developments and new clients. It also worked with editors of key international media to secure commissioned articles, and secured a face to face interview with a senior editor from The Financial Times. Favourable coverage was achieved in a wide range of publications including Bloomberg Business Week, City AM, Forbes and the Financial Times.
The result
Prodigy Finance has now distributed in excess of $36 million in loans to MBA students of more than 80 nationalities, without any defaults.
