Well, we have officially made it through the first month of 2025; and what a month it was! A new US president who brought with him countless executive orders, an end to DEI and an extended life for TikTok in the US were just some of the stand out moments of this first month. That’s not to mention the seemingly endless developments that we’ve seen across AI, with DeepSeek breaking onto the scene and massively intensifying the already tense AI race.

But as always at BlueSky Education, we truly did hit the ground running. From top tier to trade, op eds to newsletters, it’s been another month of insightful coverage for our clients.

Starting off strong, there was this piece in Forbes about the Pros and Cons of TikTok alternatives, with comment from Dr. Alessia Paccagnini from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School. This article provides other options for US TikTok users who are looking for another place to scroll if and when the TikTok ban comes back around.

In SheerLuxe, Professor Zorina Alliata from OPIT lent her thoughts to the author of this piece about recent AI advancements. It’s an excellent read, and it’s interesting to think about how much will likely change in AI between the time of this article being written and the end of 2025 alone.

Also in top-tier, this piece in the iPaper featured comments from Dr Ylva Baeckström from King’s Business School. The article explores the idea of doing a “no spend” year, and provides tips for people interested in taking part. A different piece that’s well worth a read if you’d like to save a little bit more in 2025!

With a new year comes new rankings, trends reports and so forth. This piece in Poets and Quants featured the 10 Business Schools to watch in 2025- with ESSEC Business School being named as one of them. An interesting piece and another brilliant result.

Finally in top-tier, two of our clients featured in this edition of the Financial Times’ “Business School Insider” newsletter. An excellent source of business education news, and one of the only weekly sources of its’ kind available, it’s always excellent to see our schools featured here. This particular edition saw coverage for AACSB International and Durham University Business School.

Turning our attention towards some of our fabulous trade coverage, there was this article in EFMD Global about what students need to know in 2025. A remarkable 18 clients featured here! INSEAD, Aalto Executive Education and beVisioneers- to name just a few!

Also in trade, this article in Study International explored sustainable business programs, with insights from emlyon Business School. It’s an evergreen topic- and a useful article to read if you do find yourself considering studying one of the programs.

Finally, also in trade coverage, this piece in Raconteur delved a little deeper into what could happen to DEI in an era of Trump. Featuring in this post was David Collings, Chair of Sustainable Business at Trinity Business School, who expressed his concern for the future of DEI in companies whose leaders are not supporters of the initiative. A rather important piece, and well worth a read.

So clearly, it’s been a busy month not just at BlueSky Education, but around the globe too. Does your school have some further insights to add to the articles featured above? Or perhaps something else? This is just a small overview of a vast number of interviews, articles and comment opportunities we can secure for our lovely clients. If you’d like to be a part of it, please do reach out and make 2025 the year of success for your school too!
