BlueSky Education Client Media Coverage Highlights October 2022

In England, autumn brings a liberal amount of rain marginally offset by the warm glow of jack o’ lanterns. So, forgive a few festive clichés. This last month might have climaxed in the spookiest night of the year, but our clients have nothing to fear from another coverage round-up – it is all treats and no tricks! Behold the grab-bag of goodies BlueSky Education’s clients have enjoyed this October.

Coverage in the FT remains a hallowed treasure for our clients and mid-way through October, the paper published its annual EMBA report. ESCP Business School featured in two articles, with EMBA graduate Yogesh Gupta and Associate Dean for Executive Education on the London campus Marie Taillard offering comment. Naturally, such reports cannot continue to be published without active involvement from business schools. Once again, the occasion highlights the reciprocal relationship between academic institutions and the media. It's a valuable lesson in watching the calendar, keeping in touch with key publications, and having spokespeople ready to pounce at the right time.

Sometimes, it pays dividends to step outside of one’s domestic or regional media landscape and place coverage further afield. Poets & Quants is a leading US-based business education platform which recently published an article on why you should consider studying a Business Masters now, featuring insights from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Business, Nyenrode Business University and others. Not only is it a chance for top European schools to make their presence known in the American student application market, the article attracted the attention of other US publications with vast global readerships such as Yahoo Finance.

It is almost universally understood that the MBA is the flagship programme of any business school. The Executive MBA and Masters in Management receive a fair amount of attention as well. Then there are the other programmes, often assumed to be of little interest to the media. Did you know you can become a doctor in business? Forbes ran an article on that very subject, breaking down and shining a light on DBA programmes, including information from Aalto University Executive Education, UCL Global Business School for Health, Vlerick Business School and others. Finding an interesting angle is the golden rule of securing top-tier coverage for programmes that do not yet have the profile they deserve.

It would be remiss not to also mention the breadth of coverage we secured for our clients in trade press as well. ‘Are top-tier or trade publications better?’ is the question of a rookie. When it comes to international PR, belt and braces is the way to go. A press release on research from NEOMA Business School which reveals family firms better retain their reputations in the wake of product failure was picked up in 14 publications, including Global Islamic Finance, London Loves Business and Economy Standard.
