BlueSky Education Client Media Coverage Highlights November 2024

November came around all too suddenly, with the UK even seeing some snow. But as we’ve hurtled towards hibernation season, at BlueSky, we’re doing anything but resting! So, between a not-so-new US President and the start of the Christmas madness, below is an overview of all of the coverage we have seen this month, and what a month it was!

Starting the month off strong, Professor Alexandru Barbu from INSEAD lent his expertise to this article about Klarna in The Independent. Options like Klarna are becoming more and more popular these days, and it’s a great article that focuses on the realities of buy-now-pay-later schemes.

Also in the Independent, King’s Business School featured in this article about swearing at work, and whether or not it’s becoming more of a norm. It’s an interesting read about why this change is happening, and where the line should be drawn.

And as November saw President Trump being elected, Professor Graziella Romeo offered her insights into the reaction of Europe in this article on Euronews. Exploring the American values, alongside the social conflicts happening around Europe, the piece is thought provoking and well worth a read.

And on a slightly different, less (or maybe more, depending who you ask!) political note, this article in The Guardian focused on dynamic pricing in pubs. Titled “happy hour in reverse”, the article hits the nail on the head in terms of the topic, and included some expert comment from Imperial College Business School and Mannheim Business School.

EHL Hospitality Business School lent their knowledge to People Management, providing an article about why there are so many bad bosses. And it’s not as simple as you may believe! But it’s an informative article that outlines what makes a poor leader, and what it takes to be a good one.

Meanwhile, MSN published an article about whether or not self-employment can delay retirement, which Trinity Business School were able to offer comment on. But you’ll have to read the article to find out the answer to that…

ESSEC Business School were able to provide interesting commentary and insights about the war in Ukraine in this Newsweek piece. Focusing on how the election of Donald Trump could impact the war between Russia and Ukraine, the article is an informative read.

But it was a busy month for ESSEC Business School, as this article from Times Higher Education was also published, which explored how European Business Schools can benefit from the UK’s student recruitment troubles.

Continuing with coverage that focused more specifically on education, The Times of India published this article about why studying business in the UK is a good idea. The comprehensive article featured a range of voices from different schools, such as Durham University Business School, Imperial College Business School, GMAC, Kings Business School, Oxford’s Saïd Business School, Sheffield Business School, and University of Sussex Business School.

So, another wonderful month here at BlueSky Education, with a wide range of coverage across many different topics and industries. And if you’re reading this and wondering what it takes to have your school involved, why not read out to us today? And who knows, maybe in 2025 your school will be on this list too!
